Vaginal Laxetivity Problems?
FemiLift can improve vaginal elasticity and lubrication, resulting in a better quality of life for women.
What is Femilift?
FemiLift is a laser treatment used to improve common feminine health issues - including painful intercourse caused by dryness, laxity from loss of connective tissue as a result of menopause, and diminished sensation. These are normal problems caused by aging, though menopause and natural (vaginal) childbirth can also contribute. FemiLift is FDA-approved for general gynecological applications.
FemiLift uses a fractional CO2 laser to safely resurface the vaginal tissue. It is a painless, minimally invasive procedure which takes 15-20 minutes to perform at Renew Med Spa. The CO2 laser probe is inserted in the vagina and emits pulses of laser energy to heat and contract the collagen fibers of the vaginal tissue, improving laxity. It also stimulates new collagen production, resulting in thicker, more elastic vaginal tissue. An additional response to the laser is it promotes neo-vascularization (improved blood supply), which in turn improves lubrication and sensation of the vagina.
Will FemiLift Hurt?
FemiLift is generally a painless procedure, although some patients may experience some discomfort at the vaginal opening. To prevent this, we can administers numbing cream 30 minutes prior to the procedure.
How Many Treatments Before I See Results?
A series of 3 treatments, performed approximately 4 weeks apart, is generally recommended for best results. The treatment typically lasts up to 24 months, at which time a maintenance treatment is done to preserve vaginal integrity.
What should I expect post-treatment?
Following the procedure, there is minimal downtime. Some patients may experience a slight vaginal discharge or light spotting. The only restriction is that the patient must abstain from intercourse and cannot use tampons for at least 3 days. Patients typically notice a dramatic improvement in lubrication, laxity, sensation, and sexual function. Significant improvement in urinary incontinence has also been reported.
Am I A Candidate for FemiLift?
Ideal candidates for FemiLift include:

- Menopausal patients who suffer from vaginal dryness, loss of elasticity, and painful intercourse.
- Cancer patients who have gone through premature menopause from chemotherapy.
- Patients who are not candidates for estrogen therapy because of estrogen-sensitive cancers (such as breast cancer survivors).
